NFL: Robert Griffin lined up for Washington comeback on Sunday

Robert Griffin III is expected to return to action for Washington in Sunday's clash against Minnesota.
The Redskins quarterback has been sidelined since suffering a dislocated ankle against Jacksonville in week two, but he is in line to reclaim his starting role at the Vikings this weekend.
The 24-year-old returned to training in a limited capacity last week, but he was not risked for Sunday's game in Dallas as Colt McCoy led Washington to a surprise victory in overtime.
Back-up
Former Cleveland quarterback McCoy has led the Redskins to two consecutive wins since taking over from Kirk Cousins, but he now looks likely to provide back-up for Griffin in Minnesota.
Griffin was a full participant in practice on Wednesday, although head coach Jay Gruden insisted he would not be restored to the starting line-up until he felt he was mentally and physically ready.
"From a physical standpoint, he looks good," Gruden said. "Now it’s a matter of mental and getting back into the football part of it, and if he looks good in that regard then there is a chance he could play.
"If everything goes well, he'll start. We feel like he's 100 percent physically."
Gruden could opt to give Griffin extra time to prove his fitness as Washington have a bye week following Sunday's fixture against the Vikings.
Meanwhile, Dallas have a major injury concern over quarterback Tony Romo ahead of Sunday's clash with Arizona.
Romo left Monday's defeat to Washington after taking a blow to his back, although he did return in the final quarter after being administered pain-killing injections.
Surgery
The Cowboys ace underwent surgery on his back during the off-season, but head coach Jason Garrett insisted the injury Romo sustained on Monday was unrelated.
Romo has been held out of training this week, although Garrett insisted he remains optimistic that he will be able to suit up against the Cardinals.
"Sounds like he's feeling better," Garrett said on Thursday. "Just talking to him, it sounds like he's feeling better. And typically that happens the further away you are from an injury, hopefully the better it gets.
"You get the blood flowing through your body. So hopefully he's able to do something today and we can build on that."
Former Cleveland quarterback Brandon Weedon filled in for Romo last weekend and led the Cowboys on two scoring drives, and he is on standby to start under centre against Arizona.
