Great Britain's Ed McKeever goes for gold on Saturday morning in the 200m kayak sprint at Eton Dorney.

The 28-year-old trainee accountant from Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, is one of the favourites after posting the fastest time on Friday during the heats and semi-finals.

The former World and European champion's main rivals in the race at 9.37am are the Canadian Mark de Jonge and Frenchman Maxime Beaumont.

At 10.48am, Brits Jon Schofield and Liam Heath go for a medal in the two-man kayak 200m sprint.

Sprint

Heath, 27, from Guildford, Surrey, and Schofield, also 27, from Clitheroe, Lancashire, are three-times European champions but they qualified for the final behind Russia in their semi-final.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Jessica Walker from Hampton Hill, Surrey, has an outside chance of a medal after qualifying for the women's single kayak 200m sprint final.

She races at 10.21am but only just made it through to Saturday's final after finishing second in the slower of the semi-finals.
