Paralympic champion Susie Rodgers has announced her retirement from swimming.

The 33-year-old from London won S7 50 metres butterfly gold at last September's Rio Paralympics.

Rodgers was a late comer to the Great Britain team, joining in 2011 after being inspired by the Beijing Paralympics.

She competed at her first Games at London 2012, taking three bronze medals and won two more bronzes in Rio in addition to her Paralympic title.

She said: "I want to leave at the top - undefeated European champion over six years and Paralympic champion in the 50m Butterfly at Rio 2016.
