Sky Sports pundit Brian Carney believes that sentimental send-offs will come second to the result as Leeds Rhinos bid farewell to captain Kevin Sinfield.
The Yorkshire outfit face Huddersfield Giants on Saturday, and former Great Britain winger Carney feels that the closing of a 17-year career for Sinfield will not feature heavily in the Rhinos' thoughts.
Carney said: "I don't know clubs like Leeds do special send-offs anymore.
"They have won so many trophies. They are just such a professional outfit. They will go and get the job done and celebrate afterwards."
2014 saw Sinfield claim the one trophy that was missing from his collection, a Challenge Cup, when his side defeated Castleford Tigers 23-10. It was a moment that Carney feels marked the end of a chapter for Leeds and some of their most experienced players.
"This was the proverbial monkey off the back, winning the Challenge Cup last year at Wembley," he said.
"For such a great side, that have been so successful in Super League, this was the one thing people were throwing at them. 'You haven’t won a Challenge Cup yet, you have been beaten in finals'," said Carney.
"But you could see the joy on Kevin Sinfield's face. He's a man who has lifted a trophy on many occasions but that was something special."
However, Carney trusts that the memory of the famous victory at Wembley will not distract Leeds from the challenge they face this weekend.
"It was the final tick in the box for players like Kevin Sinfield and Jamie Peacock, so I don't think they will be motivated by that as much as to go out and win a Challenge Cup round, and get into the next round,
"However, they are coming up against one of the form teams in Super League in Huddersfield."
