Steve McNamara has committed his future to Sydney Roosters by signing a new two-year contract, according to Sky sources.
Although the Roosters are yet to make an official announcement, it is believed his decision was made a number of months ago.
McNamara is currently taking charge of the England side which is preparing to face New Zealand at the KC Stadium in Hull this Sunday, in the first of a three-Test series.
And this latest news regarding the Roosters means that, if he is reappointed England coach through to the 2017 World Cup, he will have to carry out his duties on a part-time basis.
The 44-year-old former Hull, Bradford and Huddersfield forward has been England coach for five years.
McNamara has been in Sydney for two years, having joined the Roosters as assistant to head coach Trent Robinson, after rejecting offers from rugby union.
McNamara, who was recently joined down under by his family, has said he will discuss his England role with RFL chief executive Nigel Wood at the end of the autumn internationals.
