Black and Whites seal deal with Tonga ace

Tonga international back rower Willie Manu has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Hull. The 28-year-old, who joined the Black and Whites from Castleford last summer, is now committed to the Super League club until the end of the 2010 season. "Sharpy (Peter Sharp) gave me an opportunity to continue playing Super League after Castleford were relegated and since coming to Hull I have really enjoyed myself," Manu told the club's official website. "The nearer the end of your contract you get without having signed another one the more sleepless nights you have. "Having got mine sorted I can sleep easier because it has taken that pressure away.

Focused

"I can now fully focus on playing some good footie, which is what I want to do." Hull coach Peter Sharp said he was delighted to have secured Manu's services for the next two seasons. "Willie is an exceptional player and he provides us with tremendous power and impact value," Sharp said. "He's a handful to any defence and as we have seen on numerous occasions he causes so much havoc."
