Several unnamed rugby league clubs are interested in signing Dwain Chambers, according to his agent.
Sprinter could yet have future in rugby league
Dwain Chambers could still have a future in rugby league, despite Castleford Tigers' decision not to offer him a contract.
The former Olympic sprinter, who served a two-year doping ban, completed a month's unpaid trial at the Jungle in an effort to forge a new career in the 13-man code.
Castleford announced on Tuesday that
Chambers has not been offered an extended run, but his agent Ron Hill claims to be in discussions with other clubs about a possible deal.
"I am in discussions with other clubs," said Hill. "But it's got to be right from day one.
"It was all a bit rushed last time. I have had one or two clubs coming to me but it's got to be full-time.
"Dwain needs six months in the reserve grade and a full pre-season to learn about the game.
"We know he's mentally tough and he's got speed. He has come a long way in a short time and I think what we've seen in a month is enough to show there is potential."
