Double blow for Reds as another promising youngster moves on
Salford City Reds centre Jordan Turner has followed Richie Myler out of The Willows exit door by agreeing to join Hull.
The Reds confirmed on Monday that the 20-year-old has rejected an improved three-year deal with the club and will instead play his rugby at the KC Stadium next term.
The news comes on the day
Warrington announced the capture of Salford's 19-year-old scrum-half Richie Myler on a four-year deal.
As Turner is under the age of 22, Hull must pay a transfer fee for the youngster, who was the club's young player of the year in 2007.
Salford director of football of Steve Simms said: "We believe Jordan Turner is an exceptional talent and we are obviously disappointed he has chosen not to stay with us after the great investment Salford City Reds have put in to his development."
Airlie Birds boss Richard Agar is delighted to have recruited Turner, who is the latest new face to be heading to the KC Stadium for next season.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of a sought-after and talented young player," he said.
"Jordan already has a lot of experience despite his young age and he has the potential to develop into a great player at this club."
