Reds forward signs new deal ahead of Friday's clash

Salford City Reds have been handed a fillip with news that prop forward Phil Leuluai has signed a new contract. The 32-year-old former Cronulla Sharks forward was out of contract at the end of the season and had been linked with a move to Leigh. But he is not to follow Hull FC-bound Jordan Turner and Warrington-bound Richie Myler out of The Willows exit door. Instead, the uncle of Leeds front rower Kylie Leuluai has signed a year's extension to his current deal and he could not be more pleased. "I am really, really happy to be here next year," said Leuluai. "The fans and everybody at the club have been nothing but great with me and it will be a pleasure to play for the Reds in 2010." Leuluai will have the chance to celebrate his new deal in the Reds' final match of the Super League season at home to his nephew's side Leeds on Friday night.
