Former England hooker swaps codes for coaching challenge
Former British and Irish Lion Andy Titterrell has joined the coaching staff of rugby league outfit North Wales Crusaders.
The former England hooker has swapped codes and is the new head of strength and conditioning at the Championship One side.
Titterrell most recently played for Leeds Carnegie and represented the Lions in one and England in five Tests.
"Two things attracted me to this job," he told
North Wales Crusaders' official website.
"One was the opportunity to head up a conditioning side in rugby league. Although I've had many years in union, I've got massive respect for rugby league and that's an avenue that I wanted to explore.
"The second was the opportunity to work with coach Clive Griffiths who I've worked under before. I think he's fantastic, his record speaks for itself really and I'm pleased to have teamed up with him to be part of his management side."
