Vikings continue recruiting process ahead of 2012 season

Australian stand-off Anthony Watts has agreed a one-year deal with engage Super League newcomers Widnes Vikings. The 25-year-old will become the 12th new signing at the Stobart Stadium subject to receiving a visa. Watts made his NRL debut with Cronulla in 2007 and spent three seasons at North Queensland Cowboys before joining Sydney Roosters for the 2011 campaign. "Anthony already has a proven track record in the NRL and he is now backing himself to achieve the same heights in Super League," said coach Denis Betts. "At 25, he's still got a lot of unfulfilled goals and plenty to prove in the game which makes his signing all the more pleasing."
