'Proven professional' agrees to extend stay
Back row Chris Flannery has agreed a new deal for 2012 with St Helens.
The 31-year-old has scored 35 tries in 107 appearances since joining Saints from Sydney Roosters in July 2007.
St Helens coach Royce Simmons said: "Chris is a seasoned and proven professional and adds both substance and versatility to the squad. It's good news for all that he's committed for a further season."
Flannery told the club's website: "I have spent a great four years at the Saints and I'm very happy to be adding another season, particularly as the club will be moving into its own fabulous new stadium then."
