Dominque Peyroux has joined St Helens on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old, who can play in the centre and at second row, is a Cook Island and Samoan international. He played for the Cook Islands in the 2013 World Cup and for Samoa over the last two years.

Saints head coach Keiron Cunningham said: “Dominique is a versatile player who can cover a multitude of positions. He is a proven NRL player.

"He has a keen eye for the line and will fit well into the systems we have here at the Saints. We’re looking forward to him joining us next season.”

Peyroux made his NRL debut for the Gold Coast Titans in 2011 and went on to play 16 times, scoring three tries, alongside former Saint Anthony Laffranchi.

He then moved to the Warriors for the 2013 season but his debut was delayed when he broke his jaw in a training session. He made the first of his 22 appearances against the Broncos in June 2013.

Internationally, Peyroux has made eight appearances for the Cook Islands, scoring five tries, including two in the 2013 World Cup. The following season he represented Samoa and was part of their squad for the 2014 Four Nations campaign.
