Robert Lui has become the latest out-of-contract Salford player to commit his future to the club.

The 27-year-old former Wests Tigers and North Queensland half-back, now in his second season at the AJ Bell Stadium, has signed a new two-year deal that will take him to the end of the 2019 season.

The Australian's re-signing leaves only fellow countryman Todd Carney's future at the club yet to be resolved.

"Rob has been the player that everyone has been asking me when he'll be re-signing which shows the impact he has had in his two seasons with us," said Salford coach Ian Watson.

"After negotiations, I'm ecstatic that we've managed to re-sign one of the best half-backs in the competition. This again signals our intentions to bring in and keep top quality at this club.
