Wakefield have signed up two of their academy stars, Frazer Morris and Bradley Moules, on deals for the 2017 season.

Prop Morris joined the Wildcats from Huddersfield in 2013 and hooker Moules has followed in his father Rob's footsteps in coming through the club's youth system.

Moules, who played for the first-team in 2016 pre-season, said: "All the hard work has finally paid off, to be able to get a contract and to get a shot at being in the first team is fantastic and a dream come true.

"I have trained with the first team on and off for a few years now and it is a great experience, it has helped me improve and grow as a player and makes you want to train so much harder."

Morris added: "It's an amazing feeling to be offered a one-year deal and for the opportunity to be part of the first team squad.

"I am going to continue to work hard whilst playing for the U19s this season and push on for the first team."

The club's head of youth Richard Kelly said: "Brad and Frazer are two great examples of how our youth programme continues to develop high calibre players who can progress to the highest level of the game.
