Warrington Wolves boss Tony Smith has admitted an interest in Bradford Bulls' rising star John Bateman.
The 18-year-old second row is out of contract at the end of the season and has been previously linked with the Super League giants.
The former England and Great Britain coach says Bateman is a 'good player' and the club wants players of that calibre.
Interest
"He is a good player and we are always interested in good players," Smith told the
Warrington Guardian.
"But he is under contract at Bradford at this stage and that is all I can say.
"I am sure a player of his quality would be welcome at many clubs, not just ours."
