Back will lose his ever-present record in Super League XV

Bradford utility back Paul Sykes has been handed a two-match ban for a dangerous throw on Harlequins forward Oliver Wilkes. The former London Broncos centre was given the punishment, along with a £300 fine, by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee for the offence during the Bulls' 35-18 defeat last Friday. Sykes, who admitted the grade C offence, will sit out Bradford's home game against Salford on Sunday and their trip to Hull KR the following week. He has been ever-present for the Bulls so far this season.

Faiumu fined

Salford prop Ryan Boyle will also miss Sunday's game after being handed a one-match ban for a high tackle. The former Castleford forward, who was sent off for the challenge on prop Stuart Fielden during the Reds' 60-10 defeat at Wigan last Friday, was also fined £300. Huddersfield forward David Faiumu was fined £200 after being found guilty of a grade A dangerous tackle on Crusaders winger Nick Youngquest during his side's 30-12 victory last Sunday. Faiumu pleaded guilty but avoided suspension after the committee took into consideration his previous exemplary disciplinary record.
