Versatile Australian agrees deal with the Bulls
Australian back Adrian Purtell has agreed a three-year deal to make the switch to the Bradford Bulls.
The 26-year-old will make the move from Penrith, with the centre or winger having made 44 appearances at the Panthers.
And Purtell, who also played for the Canberra Raiders in the NRL, is relishing the chance to play in the Super League.
"I'm very happy with the decision I've made for the next three years," he said.
"It's good security for me because I will be 27 by the start of next season and entering the most important years of my career.
Challenge
"I'm at a point now where I'm looking for a new challenge and a new experience and this is the biggest challenge I could've taken on.
"Bradford have been very welcoming from the start and you always want to go to a club where you feel wanted."
Bradford coach Mick Potter believes Purtell's versatility will be crucial for the Bulls.
He said: "Adrian has played virtually every game in first grade in the past two years, in every position from lock to the wing.
"He's a big guy with speed and he'll be an asset to our team next season. I'm pleased to get him signed up for a few years. He wanted the security and we needed longevity in our signings so it's a good deal for both sides."
