Wigan coach Michael Maguire admits England prop Stuart Fielden is "raring to go" after four months out with a knee injury.

Wigan boss spoilt for choice in the front row

Wigan coach Michael Maguire admits England prop Stuart Fielden is "raring to go" but will not rush a decision over his return to action. Fielden is pushing for a recall for Saturday's eagerly-anticipated Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-final at Warrington after four months out with a knee injury. The 31-year-old had been in contention for last week's engage Super League victory over Wakefield but Maguire ultimately left him out of his final squad. The Warriors are not short of front-row options with Paul Prescott and Eamon O'Carroll also fit again after lay-offs but that has not stopped Fielden continuing to press his case. "He lives in my office! He is very keen and raring to go," said Maguire. "He hasn't been back long but he comes out and performs in training and puts himself in the picture. "He is definitely capable. We all know what Stuey can do for us, it is just a matter of assessing how he is. "I am in a very good position in the front row with Paul Prescott coming back in. I will decide these things as the week goes by."

Healthy

Ryan Hoffman, Thomas Leuluai and Joel Tomkins will all return for the cup meeting of Super League's top two sides after being rested for the 48-6 defeat of the Wildcats. "They'd been performing extremely well for us so they'll definitely be coming back in," added Maguire. "We're very healthy. Everyone has pulled up really well from the weekend." Second row Chris Tuson's knee injury is not as bad as first feared but the 23-year-old is still likely to be out for up to six weeks after a scan revealed medial ligament damage. Three-quarter Darrell Goulding is about a week away from fitness after an ankle injury while full-back or winger Amos Roberts is making encouraging progress following knee surgery.
