Junior Moors has signed a two-year contract extension with Castleford that will keep him at the club until at least 2019.
The Samoa international bounced back from a slow start to life with the club and was recently named Fans' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Player of the Year at their end of season awards ceremony.
Hard-running prop Moors was one of the Tigers' leaders in metres gained this season on 2,480, behind only prolific try scorer Denny Solomona, and led the team in busted tackles with 85.
He said: "I'm really happy to have extended my deal with Cas. My family and I are really settled here and I love playing with these boys. 2017 will be a big season for us and I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead."
Coach Daryl Powell said: "I'm delighted that Junior has agreed to extend his contract with the club. After a slow start in 2015 he had an enormous 2016, being one of the best forwards in Super League.
"His ball carry and his ability with his skill as a forward gives us an extra dimension in our game. I have no doubt that he will continue to improve and we will see the very best of Junior Moors in the next few years."
Castleford have also confirmed youngsters Will Maher and Tom Holmes will spend the 2017 season with the Batley Bulldogs.
Forward Maher and stand-off Holmes, both 20, will hone their skills in the Kingstone Press Championship, although the Tigers do have recall options on both.
Powell added: "On the back of last season I'm pleased to say we have a relationship with Batley Bulldogs again which enabled Greg Minikin to do such a great job when he came back into our first team last season.
"This season Tom Holmes and Will Maher will be playing with Batley on a full season loan. Both of these players have Super League experience and I'm confident both Batley and the players will benefit greatly from this deal."
