Hooker forced to return home due to pressing family concern

Australia hooker Robbie Farah has quit the Kangaroos' Four Nations campaign and returned home due to pressing family matters. The Wests Tigers captain caught the first available flight to Sydney after being informed of an illness in the family on Sunday morning, Australia media manager David Taylor has confirmed. Farah has yet to feature in the Four Nations campaign but was expected to play against Wales on Sunday in order to give regular hooker Cameron Smith a rest ahead of the November 19 final. Half-back Cooper Cronk, who has been on the bench for Australia's first two games, is now expected to provide back-up for Smith for the rest of the tour. Farah's departure follows the loss of full-back Billy Slater with a fractured collarbone and leaves coach Tim Sheens with just 22 players for their remaining two matches.
