Yeaman back in international fold

Uncapped centre Kris Welham is the only Hull KR player added to England's initial train-on squad for the Four Nations. The 24-year-old scored 26 tries for his Super League side this year and as a result features in Steve McNamara's squad for the clashes with Australia, New Zealand and Wales. The England coach has also called up Hull three-quarters Tom Briscoe and Kirk Yeaman following their club's exit from the Super League play-off series and will add more players once their club commitments are over. Yeaman, who was not in McNamara's original elite training squad, has been in the international wilderness for four years but has re-captured his form for his club this year. The train-on squad also includes Australia-based duo Jack Reed (Brisbane) and Chris Heighington (Wests Tigers). Meanwhile, 11 players have been added to the England Knights' train-on squad as they begin preparations for next month's matches against France and Samoa. They are Hull KR trio Jordan Cox, Scott Taylor and Liam Watts, Salford's Jodie Broughton, Matty Smith and Warrington-bound Stefan Ratchford, the Hull duo of Joe Westerman and Danny Houghton, Castleford centre Joe Arundel, Bradford second rower James Donaldson and Harlequins half-back Luke Gale.
