England backrower out for four weeks due to knee injury

England's Sam Burgess has suffered another injury setback after revealing he will be out for four weeks with a knee problem. The 23-year-old, who plays for South Sydney in the NRL, played with the injury in his side's loss to Canterbury on Saturday night. But tests on Monday revealed the full extent of the damage. Burgess said on Twitter: "I will be out for 4 weeks, had to have a 'scope (arthroscopy) on my knee today. Will be back out there soon enough." The backrower missed much of last year with an ankle injury, but he had been in tremendous form in recent weeks and his absence leaves a huge hole in the Souths pack. The injury will not affect his participation in the forthcoming internationals as he had not been made available for them by his club anyway.
