GB star banned for high tackle

Warrington forward Adrian Morley will miss the Wolves' crucial final Super League regular season match at Salford on Friday after receiving a one-match ban. The 30-year-old Great Britain prop was sent off for a high tackle in Warrington's 36-16 engage Super League defeat at St Helens last Friday. He was found guilty of a reckless high tackle, banned and fined £300 at a Rugby Football League disciplinary hearing on Tuesday. The Wolves must win at already relegated Salford and hope Wigan lose at home to St Helens if they are to finish in the top six play-off positions. Meanwhile, Hull's Garreth Carvell was found not guilty of striking after also being summoned to appear before the disciplinary committee. The Airlie Birds forward was placed on report for a late challenge on Matt Diskin in Hull's 17-6 win at Leeds, also last Friday.
