Hull's Danny Tickle is to appear before the RFL's disciplinary panel after allegedly kicking Rochdale's David Newton.
Black and Whites' forward facing four-match ban
Hull's Danny Tickle has been ordered to appear before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel after allegedly kicking an opponent on the ground during his side's Carnegie Challenge Cup tie at Rochdale at the weekend.
The forward allegedly struck out at Hornets prop forward David Newton while he was on the ground following a tackle which occurred three minutes from the end of Hull's 42-5 fourth-round win.
Hornets coach Bobbie Goulding was subsequently sent off after he protested to a touch judge following the incident.
Tickle, an ever-present for Hull so far this season, will appear in front of the panel on Tuesday charged with a grade C offence, which carries a ban of up to four matches.
Goulding is also likely to face the disciplinary panel next week, although the RFL's match review panel are still considering the report of referee Michael Dawber.
Gouging
The League are also investigating an allegation of gouging by an as-yet unnamed Lezignan player during the French club's 46-6 fourth round defeat at Whitehaven.
Whitehaven captain Gary Broadbent complained that fingers were poked in his eye, with the player concerned facing a charge of "behaviour contrary to the spirit of the game" - as well as a ban of up to eight matches.
Meanwhile, French Test prop David Ferriol is facing a second suspension of the season after being charged with making a high tackle during the Catalans Dragons' 22-12 win at Featherstone.
