Castleford's Ned Catic has been handed a four-match ban by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee.

Suspension carried over if forward finds new club

Castleford's Ned Catic has been handed a four-match ban by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee. The Australian forward was sent off for dissent in the Tigers' final match of the season against Bradford on Saturday. The former Wakefield player was also fined £300 after being found guilty of using foul and abusive language and aggressive body language during Castleford's 18-16 home defeat by the Bulls. Catic flies home on Wednesday after being told his contract with the Tigers will not be renewed. However, assuming his desire of finding a new club either in England or France is met, Catic's suspension will be carried over to next season.
