Hull KR centre Kris Welham has been rewarded for his impressive form this season with a new deal at Craven Park.
Welham has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Robins until the end of the 2012 season after playing a key role in the club's rise to second in the Super League.
And Welham, who is being touted as a future England star, admitted: "This is my hometown team and to play for them for the next three years is going to be very special."
Meanwhile Robins coach Justin Morgan has agreed to allow 18-year-old prop Liam Watts to join Gateshead Thunder on loan for a month.
Morgan said: "Liam is a player with huge amounts of natural ability and he will benefit greatly from a loan period at Gateshead."
