Huddersfield pair suspended for play-off clash
Keith Mason and Scott Moore will not appear in Huddersfield's opening play-off match at St Helens due to an internal suspension, the club have confirmed.
The Giants take on the Saints this Saturday but coach Nathan Brown has confirmed Mason and Moore will be absent from his squad.
The duo were not present at the victory against Wigan last Sunday, pending an enquiry into a violation of club discipline.
Brown described the matter as an "error in judgement" by the players but otherwise refused to elaborate on the situation or the hearing which was expected to take place.
Reality
"I'd rather not talk about it, to be honest," he said. "The reality is they won't be playing this weekend. That's as much as needs to be said."
In addition to the pair's absence, the Giants are still without centre Jamahl Lolesi because of a stress fracture of the foot.
Hooker David Faiumu is also being monitored due to a hamstring strain sustained in the 48-16 home win over the Warriors.
Stand-off Kevin Brown and back-row forwards Simon Finnigan and Danny Kirmond have already been ruled out for the rest of the season.
