Quins can now look forward after putting heavy defeat behind them

Harlequins coach Brian McDermott paid tribute to hat-trick hero Will Sharp after he led his side to a 16-4 victory over Catalans Dragons. The triumph lifts Quins off the foot of the Super League table with their first points of the season, banishing memories of last week's disastrous effort at Warrington. "Will is much more than just a fast bloke," he said. "He is a bit of a freak really and he does things other players cannot. "He is like a cat in a way - you can throw him around or up in the air and he always seems to land on his feet. "He did not have the best of times last year - few of our players did - but he seems back to his best. "This was a massive win for us. It was a big improvement and now we begin to look forward." Dragons coach Kevin Walters admitted his side came off second best with a solitary try from Clint Greenshields all they had to show for their efforts. "I thought the scoreline flattered us," he said. "We knew it was going to be difficult after what had happened to Quins last week and they came at us. "The turnovers killed us today and we cannot really have any complaints. "I did not really see the sending-off but I do not think it affected the result in any way - we never looked like getting back into it and credit to Quins for that."
