The RFL have announced record turnover of £22.8million for 2010 and recorded another pre-tax profit.
Governing body's income tops £22million in 2010
The Rugby Football League have announced record turnover of £22.8million for 2010 and recorded a pre-tax profit for the ninth year in a row.
Total income received by rugby league's national governing body increased to £22.8million last year, a 4.1 per cent increase on 2009.
That helped secure a gross profit of £8.6million.
Nigel Wood, the RFL's chief executive, said: "This was even more gratifying given that we did not host an international tournament in 2010, as this normally provides a considerable element of the organisation's activities."
Government funding increased to £7.5million in 2010, up from £4.4million in 2009, but match income fell from £5.3million to £3.3million largely due to the Four Nations Series being staged in the southern hemisphere.
