Ireland travel to France on Saturday with both sides keen to maintain their winning starts to the 2008 RBS Six Nations campaign.
France scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Elissalde was delighted with the way a new-look side adapted against Scotland last week.
However, he is expecting a much tougher test when the Irish role into Paris.
"Everybody is concerned about this match against Ireland, which will be at a superior level than that against the Scots," said Elissalde.
"We are going to have to leave our euphoria to one side and really focus. We must have a lot of humility and be ready for what will be a fierce battle.
"It's a long time since Ireland have beaten us and they will really want to erase what has been said about them."
France coach Marc Lievremont welcomes back Aurelien Rougerie into the starting line-up after being benched last week - he replaces Tolouse star Vincent Clerc.
David Marty and Elissalde are back in the staring line-up after shrugging off back and ankle injuries respectively.

Elissalde's opposing scrum-half Eoin Reddan has a score to settle of his own as he attempts to erase the lingering memories of Ireland's woeful World Cup showing on French soil.
"Paris is where things went wrong for us so it's a good place to try to start putting things right," he said.
"It wasn't good for me personally. I went out in an Irish shirt and came back in on the losing side. That's not good for anybody.
"It hurts. I don't look back on that game with any kind of joy. It was just bitterly disappointing for me and the rest of the 30-man squad.
Eddie O'Sullivan's men travel to Paris on the back of a nervy 16-11 win over Italy at Croke Park last weekend.
