Watson has been on the sidelines since suffering a back injury on the opening weekend, however the former South Africa international returns to the starting XV.
Watson is one of four changes made to the Kings pack, with lock David Bulbring, prop Kevin Buys and hooker Bandise Maku also starting. Watson's inclusion at No 8 means Cornell du Preez switches to the flanker and Devin Oosthuizen drops out.
Hannes Franklin, Grant Kemp and Rynier Bernardo are all named on the bench.
The Bulls have been forced into a late chance to their line-up following their 26-20 victory over the Cheetahs last time out.
Coach Frans Ludeke had initially made one alteration on bench, with Bjorn Basson recalled ahead of Ulrich Beyers.
However Dewald Potgieter has subsequently been ruled out so Arno Botha is promoted from the bench, with Jacques Potgieter added to the squad.
