Players' agents Pat Mooney and Brandon Parker have been named on the board of directors of the World Billiards and Snooker Association.
Mooney, who manages John Higgins and Graeme Dott, and Parker, who takes care of Shaun Murphy, have been welcomed on to the board by new chairman Barry Hearn.
The Matchroom promoter is looking to bring the game back into the public consciousness after several years in the wilderness and a loss of sponsorship money.
The appointment of Mooney and Parker follows the announcement that Dr Hamish McInnes has stepped down after four years on the board.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Dr Hamish McInness for his role as a director of the WPBSA for the past four years," Hearn said.
"Hamish has been of great service to the WPBSA during his period of office and has contributed to the sport in challenging times.
"The appointment of Pat Mooney and Brandon Parker bring a wealth of enterprise and experience useful to the next stage of snooker's revitalisation, and I welcome them both to the board and look forward to their ongoing contributions to the expansion of our sport."
