Wimbledon 2012 - Men's Final

  5. Image: Federer and Murray pose for pictures, and we're ready to get under way. Federer to serve first.
  6. Image: There is drama in the opening minutes, as Murray manages to break Federer's serve in the opening game of the match. The Scot then holds his serve.
  7. Image: Murray, however, is unable to take control of the set, as the six-time champion holds and the breaks back to make it 2-2 in the first set.
  8. Image: The Swiss champion now looks more settled, and comes very close to breaking Murray's serve for the second time. But the Scot hangs tough.
  9. Image: Federer is broken again putting the score at 5-4 and giving Murray a chance to serve for the first set.
  10. Image: An excellent service game hands Murray the first set, and sends the Centre Court crowd wild.
  11. Image: The second set gets under way and Fed is out to prove a point, producing a love service game as he begins his comeback.
  12. Image: With the score at 2-2 in the second, Murray earns three break points against an uncharacteristically ruffled Federer...
  13. Image: ... but Federer is quick to regain his composure, and wins three straight points to put the pressure back on the Brit.
  14. Image: Again Murray earns two break points on Federer's serve, but yet again the former champion fights back to hold.
  15. Image: With Federer 6-5 up, he now has Murray on the run, with the Scot battling to stay in the second set. Federer has a set point on Murray's serve.
  16. Image: A delightful drop shot and Federer takes the second set. The match now hangs in the balance on Centre Court.
  17. Image: It wouldn't be a Wimbledon final without rain, and sure enough the downpour comes with the score at one set all, one game all and Federer 40-0 up.
  18. Image: Fans on Henman Hill continue to receive a drenching, but back on Centre Court the roof is closed and the match gets back under way.
  19. Image: Murray takes a nasty tumble soon after play resumes, but is back to his feet soon enough.
  20. Image: Federer has Murray running and diving all over the court, and is beginning to take control. He breaks and then holds to make it 5-2 in the third.
  21. Image: Muray holds, but Roger makes no mistakes in his service game and takes the third set 6-3. The Swiss master now leads by two sets to one.
  22. Image: Federer breaks again early in the fourth, and things are looking desperate for Murray now.
  23. Image: The crowd are getting right behind Andy, as Federer prepares to serve for the championship.
  24. Image: Murray attempts to pass Federer at 40-15 but fires into the tramlines, and Federer is Wimbledon champion.
