  7. Image: And Jankovic was quickly on the back foot against the Olympic champion.
  8. Image: But Dementieva grew frustrated as both players struggled to hold serve.
  9. Image: And Jankovic eventually prevailed 6-4 6-4 to reach her first grand slam final.
  10. Image: Dinara Safina made a fast start in the second semi-final against Serena Williams.
