Andy Murray proves his sporting prowess extends further than the tennis court with this Beckham-esque lob from his own goal line.

Andy Murray traded the tennis court for a football pitch and scored a goal that David Beckham would have been proud of.

The British No 1 has been preparing for this week's Davis Cup semi-final with Argentina and took time out of his busy schedule to enjoy a game of five-a-side.

Murray has enhanced his reputation as one of the world's best tennis players, having won the Wimbledon title and an Olympic gold medal this summer, but has also demonstrated his impressive football skills.

With his team-mates watching on, Murray sent a wonderful long-range effort into the net, although it was still some way shorter than Beckham's famous goal from the halfway line in 1996.
