Grigor Dimitrov booked his place in the final of the ATP Finals and said he is looking forward to facing David Goffin for the second time in a week on Sunday.

Dimitrov, who dropped just two games to the Belgian in a one-sided round robin match on Wednesday, booked his place in the final with a 4-6 6-0 6-3 victory over American Jack Sock.

Victory for the Bulgarian on Saturday means he will move above Alexander Zverev and end the year as world No 3, with only all-time greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal ahead of him.

"Things went my way tonight and I'm more than happy," said the 26-year-old, who won his first Masters 1000 title earlier this year in Cincinnati.

"Playing the same player twice in a week has never happened to me before but it's just another match, the last of the season and I need to keep on playing. Bring it on."

Meanwhile, Sock was determined to reflect on the positives of his run to the last four in London on his debut appearance at the season finale and believes he has gained "reassurance" that he can compete with the best.

"I've always believed I can play at this level, play there consistently," Sock said. "Now to do it over a couple weeks, I would say it is more (about) reassurance going into next year than learning things.

"There's always things you can improve on, get better on the court, things you can take away from matches, especially tonight, all the matches I've played the last three weeks. Probably more the reassurance I know I'm at this level and can stay there."
