Rafa Nadal overcomes Wu Di at China Open

Rafa Nadal progressed into the second round of the China Open with a straight sets win against Di Wu.
The third seed from Spain was forced to battle past the home favourite 6-4 6-4 in Beijing.
Nadal broke at the first attempt but world No 230 Wu responded and the first set appeared destined for a tie-break until former world No 1 Nadal snatched the crucial break in the seventh game.
Wu looked on course to force a deciding set when he roared into a 3-1 lead in the second set.
However, Nadal broke twice from 4-2 down to wrap up the victory, in a set where only one game was won on serve, to get his campaign off to a solid start.
