Misaki Doi's first WTA Tour title arrives in Luxembourg

Misaki Doi held her nerve to claim a first career title on the WTA Tour by beating Mona Barthel in the final of the Luxembourg Open.
The world No 92 from Japan endured a topsy-turvy encounter to clinch a 6-4 6-7 (9-7) 6-0 victory in just under two hours.
The left-hander secured the only service break of the opening set in the first game, before both players held serve throughout the second which went into a thrilling tie-break.
Barthel levelled matters on her third set point only to be blown away in the decider by the 24-year-old Doi who had beaten former world No 1 Jelena Jankovic in the quarter-finals.
