Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka both registered straight-sets wins in the second round of the Paris Masters on Tuesday.
Djokovic overcame an initial struggle from Thomaz Bellucci after Wawrinka eliminated Bernard Tomic.
The world No 1 from Serbia was forced to scrap by Bellucci for his 7-5 6-3 win as the Brazilian battled to a tie-break in the first set.
But he could not maintain that fight into the second set, and Djokovic sewed up his progression in the French capital.
It was an 18th straight win for Djokovic, who has also won 24 sets in a row.
Wawrinka is also into the third round after beating Tomic earlier in the day.
The world No 4 registered a 6-3 7-6 victory in his first ATP Tour match against his young Australian opponent.
Wawrinka got off to the perfect start with a break in the first game which he turned into a 3-0 lead. One further break handed him a straightforward win in the first set.
Tomic admirably fought back but could not convert two set points with Wawrinka on serve. The Swiss player eventually forced a tie-break.
Wawrinka then overcame a 5-2 deficit in the second set tie-break, winning six of the last seven points, to book a third round slot against Viktor Troicki or Feliciano Lopez.
Borna Coric set up a third-round tie against Andy Murray after defeating Fernando Verdasco 6-4 6-4.
