Former British No 1 Laura Robson claimed her first WTA tour win in three years with a straight sets victory over home favourite Ghita Benhadi at the Rabat Open.
The 22-year-old had endured a frustrating comeback from wrist surgery two years ago, winning just three matches all year in qualifying rounds.
But she returned to form in the main draw on the clay against Benhadi, producing six service breaks as she beat the 18-year-old wild card 6-1 6-1 in just 51 minutes.
Robson now faces fifth seed Timea Babos of Hungary - twice a winner of the doubles event in Morocco - in round two.
Despite plummeting down to No 426 in the world following her injury lay-off, Robson's protected WTA ranking of 58 means she is an automatic entry into next month's French Open at Roland Garros.
