Three British players survive second round of Wimbledon qualifying

British trio Marcus Willis, Ed Corrie and Harriet Dart have all moved one win away from qualifying for the first round of Wimbledon.
The three British players came through out of nine home players in action at the Bank of England Sports Grounds in Roehampton and now require one more win to reach the tournament proper at the All England Club.
Corrie produced the stand-out result of the day, defeating German 10th seed and former world No 42 Michael Berrer 6-0 6-3.
The world No 358, who has never played at Wimbledon, will play Frenchman Albano Olivetti in the final round.
"It was better than expected," Corrie told the official Wimbledon website. "I've had a good grass-court season and a solid start to the year, so I definitely felt confident. We had a good game plan, but for eight games I hardly missed a ball - I couldn't have executed much better, so I was ecstatic with that."
Willis claimed his first top-100 scalp in round one by knocking out Japan's Yuichi Sugita and followed that up with a 7-5 6-4 victory over former French Open junior champion Andrey Rublev.
The 25-year-old, ranked a lowly 708, next meets another Russian, Daniil Medvedev, a 6-4 6-2 winner over France's Vincent Millot, on Thursday.
Teenager Dart avenged defeat for her fellow British player Freya Christie against 10th seed Risa Ozaki.
Christie suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Japanese player in a match held over from Tuesday night but Ozaki could not complete the double as 19-year-old Dart triumphed 6-4 6-3.
The world No 448 will take on Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova for a place in the first round, where 14 British players are already guaranteed to be in singles action.
There were a number of near misses among the other six British players, none more so than 19-year-old Katie Boulter, who led Rebecca Peterson 6-4 5-0 but lost in three sets.
Lisa Whybourn, Gabi Taylor, Dan Cox and Joe Salisbury were also beaten.
