Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal play in Abierto Mexicano Telcel live on Sky Sports

Novak Djokovic is a late addition to an all-star cast including Rafael Nadal. Juan Martin Del Potro and Dominic Thiem at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel.

Djokovic, who already has one title to his name this season, will resume his campaign and the chase to reclaim the No 1 ranking after accepting a wild card into the 500 event in Acapulco which you can see live on Sky Sports throughout the week.

The Serb has not played since his second round defeat to Denis Istomin at the Australian Open, his earliest Grand Slam exit since 2008 and after a disappointing second half of 2016 he faces a tough test on the Mexican hard courts.

Djokovic will face Martin Klizan is the first round before a possible second-round meeting with Juan Martin Del Potro and then a likely quarter-final against Nick Kyrgios.

Thiem, champion in Rio at the weekend, is a possible semi-final opponent while Marin Cilic or Nadal are the likely seeded opponents from the opposite side of the draw.

British number two Kyle Edmund is a possible semi-final opponent for Djokovic, the 22-year-old pushed Milos Raonic all the way in the Delray Beach quarter-final last week and he will face Sam Querrey in round one.

Nadal is another resuming his season after an extended break following his run to the Australian Open final in Mebourne where he was beaten by Roger Federer.

Nadal opens up against serve-volley specialist Mischa Zverev, the man who ended world No 1 Andy Murray's bid in Melbourne, while Delray Beach champion Jack Sock is a possible quarter-final opponent.
