Robin Haase may have bowed out of the Paris Masters on Thursday but he left his indelible mark on the tournament with an outrageous bounce-back volley.
The Dutchman was beaten 7-5 6-4 by former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro in the French capital.
Three successive breaks of serve left Del Potro serving for the first set, which he took on his fourth set point.
The 29-year-old, who is chasing the eighth and final qualification spot for the ATP Finals, grabbed the crucial break in game five of the second set, before closing out a comfortable victory.
But the match will be remembered for Haase's incredible bounce-back volley which defied the laws of physics.
