Former world No 1 Angelique Kerber has appointed Johanna Konta's former coach Wim Fissette as her new coach for 2018 as she looks to bounce back from a difficult 2017.
Belgian Fissette replaces Torben Beltz in Kerber's team following a campaign in which the German has failed to win a title and fallen to 21 in the world rankings.
"It's been tough but I'm about to start a new chapter in my career, with a new coach," Kerber said on her official Twitter account.
"Thank you Torben Beltz for everything that you've done for me.
"The next season is coming soon and I'm very excited to start working with Wim Fissette as my new coach.
"It's a new chance and I'm curious to find out what we can achieve together."
Kerber and compatriot Beltz first worked together from 2011-13 and rejoined forces in 2015, with the German pair having their most successful season a year later.
Kerber won the Australian Open and US Open titles, as well as a silver medal at the Rio Olympics, as she became world No 1 but has since fallen down the rankings.
Fissette coached British No 1 Konta this year but the pair agreed to a mutual split after 10 months of working together at the end of the campaign.
Fissette has previously worked with several world No 1s, including Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka and Simona Halep.
