I really feel I'm on the right path. I've had some great weeks and great tournaments. I can already see progress in my game since I started implementing these things." Elsewhere in the third round, Germany's Andrea Petkovic also booked her spot in the last eight after she emerged from a tight contest against eighth seed Marion Bartoli with a 4-6 6-4 7-5 victory. In the second round, number two seed Victoria Azarenka was made to fight in the first set before going on to claim a 7-6 6-3 victory over Polona Hercog of Slovenia. Agnieszka Radwanska eliminated the last remaining Chinese player in the draw as she beat former Wimbledon semi-finalist Zheng Jie 6-1 6-4.
