Veteran wins his 13th career title

Spain's David Ferrer claimed a ninth successive victory over compatriot Nicolas Almagro in the final of the Copa Claro in Buenos Aires. The top seed came from a set down to beat the second seed 4-6 6-3 6-2 in the Argentinian claycourt event. It was a 13th career title for world number five Ferrer, as he recovered from dropping his only set of the tournament to break Almagro in the fourth game of the second set and in the third and fifth of the decider. Victory for the 29-year-old makes amends for losing the 2010 final to another Spaniard, Juan Carlos Ferrero. "I'm really happy, this was an account I had pending. This title is something very important to me," said Ferrer, who had beaten home favourite David Nalbandian in the semi-finals. "With Nico they are always very physical matches. With the passing of the years one doesn't have that anxiety of youth."
