Sabine Lisicki eased into the quarter-finals of the Prudential Hong Kong Open with a 6-1 6-1 triumph over Grace Min.
The top seed - who accepted a wild card to play in the new tournament - had endured a tricky opening tie on Tuesday, rallying from a set down to eventually see off Romanian Monica Niculescu.
However there were no such problems for the German in her second match of the week; she needed just 40 minutes and lost only 17 points in a one-sided encounter against American Min.
"I wasn't making many mistakes, and that's always what you want," Lisicki told the WTA Tour's official website.
"By the end of last night's match I think I was playing pretty well, and I think I really took that momentum into today.
"Also Monica plays a completely different game from anyone else. You can't practice for that because nobody else plays like that. So yesterday I think I just needed some time to adapt to her game."
Lisicki will next face China's world number 102 Saisai Zhang, who caused a minor upset with a 6-4 6-2 win over Belgian sixth seed Yanina Wickmayer.
Francesca Schiavone advanced at the expense of Kimiko Date-Krumm, who retired when trailing 6-3 4-0, and qualifier Jarmila Gajdosova rallied to see off Holland's Kiki Bertens 4-6 6-1 6-4.
In first round action, second seed Daniela Hantuchova beat Chinese wild card Ling Zhang 6-1 6-4.
