Italy's Fabio Fognini has been fined $2,000 (£1,245) for flashing an obscene gesture to the crowd in his shock defeat at the Shanghai Masters.
The world No 17 was stunned 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 on Tuesday in the opening round of the tournament by Chuhan Wang, ranked 553 in the world.
The Chinese wildcard and ATP World Tour debutant inflicted a fifth loss in a row on Fognini, who showed his middle finger to the crowd as he left the stadium.
The Italian has now won just one match since reaching the Cincinnati quarter-finals two months ago.
