Henin continues 20 match unbeaten run for ninth title of season.
Justine Henin claimed her fourth consecutive WTA title and her ninth of the season with a straight sets win over Tatiana Golovin at the Zurich Open.
The world number one extended her unbeaten run to 20 matches with a 6-4 6-4 win over the French teenager on Sunday.
Her last defeat came in the semi-finals at Wimbledon in July when she was knocked out by France's Marion Bartoli.
In an on court interview after the match Henin described the moment as 'amazing'.
"It's been the best season of my career," she said. "And to win my ninth title of the year is pretty amazing."
"I needed a bit of time to come into the match today as Tatiana was putting me under a lot of pressure but slowly, but surely I came back."
Agressive
Golovin had lost her three previous meetings with Henin but the 19-year-old began the match aggressively and opened up an early 3-1 lead.
A lucky net-cord bounce however gave the Belgian the opportunity to break back and level the scores.
The world number 18 went on to hit three unforced errors and give Henin another decisive break to fall 4-5 behind.
After serving out for the set Henin broke again at the start of the second and, despite signs of a fightback from Golovin, she dropped serve once more to fall 2-1 behind.
That proved to be the last break of the match and the French youngster went on to suffer her second final defeat against the Belgian in the space of three weeks.
"She's absolutely the best," said Golovin,
"She's so solid, but she has also been a great inspiration to me, and the more I play against top players like Justine the more I hope to learn."
